Deploying thousands of Apple devices is only part of the job. During this engagement, Out of a Jam Solutions prepared, enrolled, asset tagged, cased, documented, and organized 5,792 Apple devices across multiple student and staff deployment workflows. Every device was returned to its original shipping group with complete serial number and asset tracking, giving the district a deployment-ready inventory from day one.
Large deployments rarely go exactly to plan. Early in the project we encountered wireless infrastructure problems, DHCP failures, and MDM failures that fundamentally broke the process. Rather than treating these as customer issues outside our scope, we worked alongside district IT to troubleshoot, remediate, and redesign the enrollment workflow to make it work.
That deep engineering expertise continued after enrollment. We generated complete asset inventories, used the Jamf API to automate asset reconciliation, and produced import-ready datasets linking every asset tag with its corresponding serial number. The result wasn’t just the minimum checklist from the start; it was a clean, accurate Apple management environment that district staff could immediately begin administering. Our experience extends beyond device provisioning into Apple infrastructure, identity, networking, automation, and enterprise fleet management, allowing us to solve the technical problems that often determine whether large deployments succeed.
