Hannah Gustafson has spent her career helping Alaskans fund good ideas. She started at the Renewable Energy Alaska Project as an intern in the early 2000s and rose to Assistant Director; today she runs Elemental Consulting in Homer, writing grants and teaching grant-writing workshops on the Kenai Peninsula. Her whole working life — proposals, budgets, research, and years of photos — lived on one aging Mac.

We diagnosed the access error the same day, then hopped on a remote session: set up a clean, secure user on a loaner Mac, restored her browser profiles and bookmarks across Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, and recorded a custom step-by-step video showing her exactly how to pull her complete archive onto an external drive. A few follow-up calls later, Hannah confirmed it herself: everything was back.
